Wendy has over 15 years’ experience within regulatory operations and financial crime compliance. Prior to joining Lysis in 2010, Wendy held a number of SME and compliance advisory roles within AML for firms including Bear Stearns, Deutsche Bank and ING.
Wendy has provided training globally to over 2000 KYC analysts and is an SME in regulatory operations and has practical operational experience managing large teams of KYC analysts.
Wendy is a Global Competency Development Manager with experience in assessing gaps in knowledge and skill levels of resources and designing and delivering bespoke AML/ KYC training to cover both short-term needs and long-term staff development programmes.
Nick has over 15 years strategy execution and definition and integration of enterprise risk management. Nick was the global head of risk for an international software firm, the co-founder of a strategy and risk management consultancy and co-developed a supporting software solution. He recently spent a year with the Bank of England, at the Prudential Regulation Authority to lead the redesign and implementation of their risk assessment model, used today to supervise UK firms. He has worked with two other central banks and as led the development of the strategy and risk framework for a start-up bank.
Nick specialises in strategy and risk management, with an emphasis on regulation and addressing regulatory intervention.
Nick is a lecturer and guest speaker at Cass Business School and the College of Policing and is a regular speaker at the British Bankers Association.
Julie Sefton has worked in financial services for the last 30 years, starting her career at Barclays in the Retail, Foreign Exchange, Small business and Corporate market. She gained experience in the first line of defence, in a combined client focused, sales and risk management environment.
After her move to London 17 years ago, she carried out various risk management analyst roles in Risk, Credit, Business Continuity and KYC.
Her KYC experience is mainly at Tier 1 investment Banks, and she has gained vast experience over the years, having carried out the following roles: KYC Analyst, KYC SME/QA, Compliance Liaison for AML and Sanctions, KYC Trainer, Transaction Monitoring, and Business Analyst. She has worked on high profile remediation projects, and on solution design for KYC processing workflow tools, and KYC Utilities.
Julie has taught practical and theoretical KYC to hundreds of analysts in locations such as: Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Jaipur, Newcastle and London for large KYC vendors and Tier 1 clients.
